Hogar Infantil La Isabela
Hogar Infantil La Isabela is a nonprofit childcare community that has been successfully operating in Cartago, Colombia for the past 50 years under the support of the private community, a Catholic Community of Nuns and the Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar (ICBF)
The childcare center educates and nurtures 300 children ranging from 18 months to 6 years old and serves low-income communities of the area.
The children attended by this center come from low-income working families with sometimes one parent present at home.
This center is open year round, providing daily meals and day care as well as basic pre-school activities.
